Silence in a white room

I don't know what to say to get you to start talking
how could they?
cut out your tongue and let you live
this tragedy has gone too far
and I'm out of ideas
for saving you this time
Your voice used to be so soothing
and now I'm dying to hear those words
as frustration leaks from my eyes
and pools on the dirty floor
as I fall
The ceiling tiles aren't as pretty as your face
but they are the best thing I've got
remembering hurts too much
and hope only signals impending doom
so what have I got these days?
Silence in a white room...
